The Temenos Gate is the monumental gateway at the end of the Colonnaded Street, built in the 2nd century AD. It led into the sacred precinct of Qasr al-Bint, and its three arched openings could be closed with wooden doors. Parts of its piers and carved decoration still stand, and the open courtyard of the precinct and Qasr al-Bint lie beyond it.
