Srebrenik Fortress is perched on a sheer limestone cliff on the slopes of Majevica, first mentioned in 1333 and later a seat of the Bosnian kings. It fell to the Ottomans in the early sixteenth century. A footbridge leads over a gorge to the gate, and the restored walls and towers give some of the most dramatic views in northern Bosnia over the Tinja valley. There is a small café on the approach path and a modest entry fee.
