The clock tower of Gradačac was built in 1824 by Husein-kapetan Gradaščević. At 22 metres it is one of the tallest in Bosnia, and it is considered the youngest Ottoman clock tower in the country. It stands in the lower town below the fortress, near the Husejnija Masjid, and like other Bosnian clock towers it told the townspeople the time for prayer and for opening the bazaar. It forms part of the protected old town of Gradačac.
