Around twenty Muslims were martyred during the campaign of Khaybar in 7 AH, and many of them were buried together in this graveyard in the oasis. Among those remembered here is Mahmud ibn Maslamah, who fell at the fort of Na'im. The graveyard is a simple walled area with unmarked graves, like the other burial grounds of the Companions. Visitors usually stop here to send greetings upon the martyrs when touring the forts and the old town of Khaybar.
