The King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex, opened in 1984 on the Tabuk road on the edge of Madinah, is the largest Qur'an printing house in the world. It produces millions of copies of the Mushaf each year, together with recordings of recitation and translations of the meanings of the Qur'an into dozens of languages, which are distributed free across the world. Scholars check every stage of the work to make sure each copy is free of errors. Visitors can join a guided tour of the printing halls, usually by arrangement, and many leave with a copy of the Mushaf as a gift.
