This shrine near the springs of Afra, north of Tafilah, is honoured as the grave of Farwa ibn Amr al-Judhami, who governed Ma'an and its surroundings for the Byzantines. He embraced Islam, sent word and a gift to the Prophet ﷺ, and was executed for his faith at the water of Afra. It is on the Royal Committee's list. The shrine lies in the valley above the Afra hot springs, reached by a rough road, and is often visited together with the springs.
