Wadi al-Hasa is one of the longest gorges in Jordan, running west from the highlands to the southern end of the Dead Sea. In ancient times it marked the boundary between Moab to the north and Edom to the south. Walkers follow its stream upstream from the Ghor al-Safi end, often through knee-deep water between high rock walls, with palms and warm springs along the way.
