This is the grave of Abdullah ibn Rawaha, the poet of the Ansar and one of the twelve leaders chosen at the Pledge of Aqaba. He was the third commander at Mu'tah in 8 AH (629) and was martyred there after Zayd ibn Haritha and Sayyiduna Ja'far. His shrine stands a short walk from the graves of Zayd and Ja'far at al-Mazar al-Janubi, south of Karak.
