Mustafa Ejubović (1651-1707), known as Shaykh Jujo, was the most celebrated scholar of Ottoman Mostar. He taught in the city's mekteb and madrasa, went to Istanbul to study in 1677 and taught there, and on his return became mufti of Mostar in 1692. Among his many works are some twenty-seven treatises on logic. He passed away in Mostar in 1707. His turbe is an open structure with a small dome raised on arches, standing in a quiet garden on the east side of the old town, about ten minutes' walk south of the Old Bridge. People still come here to recite al-Fatiha for him.
