This mosque was founded by Nesuh Agha Vučjaković, a generous patron of endowments in Mostar who may have served as a fortress commander. The waqf deed dates it to 1564. It stands on Maršala Tita, the main street of the old town on the eastern bank. It is a classic single-domed Ottoman mosque with an entrance portico of three small domes and a fourteen-sided stone minaret. During the 1992-95 war it was badly damaged and its minaret was destroyed down to the balcony. Restoration was completed in 1998, and it is now a national monument and an active mosque.
