Masjid Bani Unayf is a small historic mosque south-west of Masjid Quba. It is linked with the visits of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ to the Companion Talhah ibn al-Bara', a young man of this clan who loved him dearly. The Prophet ﷺ came to see him during his illness and prayed at this place, and some local traditions also connect the spot with the welcome he received on his arrival at Quba. The mosque has been restored in black stone with a simple open courtyard and keeps much of its old character. It is peaceful and rarely crowded, and is easy to visit on foot from Masjid Quba.
