Al-Madras is a Nabataean area south of the entrance to the Siq, with rock-cut niches, tombs, water channels and a high place cut into the hilltop. It was one of the cult places on the edges of the ancient city. It is reached by a back trail from near the Obelisk Tomb and sees few visitors.
