Hammam al-Nahhasin, the Bath of the Coppersmiths, is one of the oldest and largest bathhouses of old Aleppo, standing in the souqs south of the Great Mosque opposite Khan al-Nahhasin. Parts of it go back to the twelfth century, and it was once known as Hammam al-Sitt. Its outer hall is crowned by a large dome pierced with glass openings for light, and it is still a working hammam.
