The Deir ez-Zor Museum is the regional archaeological museum of the Euphrates and the Jazira, presenting the history of eastern Syria from prehistory to the Islamic period, including finds from Mari, Dura-Europos and the other sites of the valley. The museum stands in the city of Deir ez-Zor on the Euphrates. The city also has a museum of popular traditions devoted to the life and crafts of the Euphrates valley.
