The Zawiya of Ramisht was a lodge for Sufis from Khurasan and Iraq, built in 529 AH (1134) beside the Hazwarah gate on the western side of Masjid al-Haram. In later centuries it was known as the Zawiya of Nazir al-Khass. On the evening of 28 Shawwal 802 AH a fire broke out in the zawiya and spread to the roof of the mosque, burning part of its western and northern arcades before the marble columns stopped it. The zawiya no longer stands. Its site lies inside the present mosque, about 120 metres south-west of the Ka'bah.
