These stone remains are the fort of Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf of Banu al-Nadir, a poet who opposed Nabi Muhammad ﷺ and urged Quraysh to fight the Muslims after Badr. In 3 AH a party of the Aws led by Muhammad ibn Maslamah came to the fort at night and killed him. The low walls and foundations of the fort survive among the farms south-east of Madinah, not far from the site of Masjid al-Fadikh. It is a historic site rather than a place of worship.
