The Moti Masjid, the Pearl Mosque, is the small white marble mosque inside the Lahore Fort, built for the royal household in the first half of the seventeenth century. Under later rulers it was used as a treasury, and it was returned to use as a mosque in the twentieth century. It is a three-domed prayer hall of white marble opening onto a small enclosed courtyard, simple in design and finely finished. It is reached through the fort, so visitors need a fort ticket, and it usually closes around the time of Asr.
