About Hazuri Bagh

Hazuri Bagh is the walled garden between the Badshahi Mosque and the Alamgiri Gate of the Lahore Fort. It was laid out in the early nineteenth century under Ranjit Singh, and its marble baradari, a pavilion with twelve openings, was built in 1818 partly from marble taken from older buildings. The garden is the entrance square for the mosque and the fort, and it is a good place to sit between the two. The tomb of Muhammad Iqbal stands at its western edge, and the Roshnai Gate of the Walled City opens off its south side.
