This mosque with its domed shrine in the hills just south of Salt is honoured as the maqam of Nabi Hazir. It is on the list of prophets' shrines cared for by Jordan's Royal Committee, which links him with Nabi Uzair. The shrine stands in farmland in the Balqa highlands, a short drive from the centre of Salt.
