This mosque and shrine in Wadi Shu'ayb, below the town of Salt, is honoured as the grave of Nabi Shu'ayb, the prophet sent to the people of Madyan. Shrines of Nabi Shu'ayb are also honoured at Hittin in Palestine and in other lands. The site was rebuilt by the Royal Committee and includes the grave chamber, a large mosque and gardens, set in the green valley on the road from Salt down to the Jordan Valley.
