Hammam Street is the old market street of Salt, the Ottoman town inscribed by UNESCO in 2021 for its houses of golden limestone. It takes its name from the town's historic bathhouse. The street runs through the centre of the old town, lined with small shops selling spices, sweets, vegetables and household goods, and stepped lanes climb from it up the hillsides. The Great Mosque, the Small Mosque and the Abu Jaber house museum are close by.
