This site near Dhiban, above Wadi al-Mujib, is remembered as a place where Abu Dharr al-Ghifari lived, the Companion famed for his austerity and truthfulness. He passed away at al-Rabadha in Arabia, where he is buried, so this site honours his memory. It is on the Royal Committee's list. The shrine looks over the great gorge of Wadi al-Mujib on the King's Highway south of Madaba.
