This shrine and mosque in the village named after him, near Deir Alla, is honoured as the grave of Dirar ibn al-Azwar, the warrior Companion famed for his courage in the conquest of al-Sham. It is on the Royal Committee's list, and a mosque named after him stands in Damascus. The shrine stands in the Jordan Valley a short distance from the grave of Abu Ubayda ibn al-Jarrah.
