The Grand Mosque of Kufranja is the oldest mosque of the town, of Mamluk origin and rebuilt in 1320 AH (1902) in the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid II. Its founding inscription stands over the old eastern gate, and a zawiya stands beside it. The mosque stands in the centre of Kufranja, in the Ajloun hills south of Ajloun town.
