This small shrine in the Abu al-Khasib district is the grave of Shaykh Ahmad al-Nashari, a local figure honoured by the people of the area. Abu al-Khasib is the district of date-palm groves and creeks south-east of Basra along the Shatt al-Arab, and the shrine lies on the way from the city towards Nahr Khuz and the shrines on the al-Fao road.
