This shrine in Old Basra is the grave of Sayyid Muhammad Darwish al-Rifa'i, known as Abu al-Zuhur, a Sayyid of the Rifa'i line who is remembered locally as a man of piety and is visited by the people of the old quarter. It stands in the al-Mishraq area of Old Basra, about 400 m south of the Kawaz mosque and the Ibn Eid mosque.
