The little mosque of Umoljani stands at the entrance to this highland village on Mount Bjelašnica, about an hour's drive from Sarajevo. More than twenty medieval stećak tombstones were built into its foundations, and it has an unusual minaret clad in tin. The mosque is a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Umoljani is a starting point for walks across the Bjelašnica plateau and towards Lukomir and the Rakitnica canyon, and there are more stećak tombstones nearby at Dolovi.
