Boljuni is a village south of Stolac with one of the richest groups of stećci in Herzegovina, spread over two necropolises. Many of the stones are decorated with reliefs of hunting scenes, round dances, animals, weapons and floral motifs, and some carry inscriptions. Boljuni is among the sites included in the UNESCO listing of stećci. The graveyards lie in the open among dry-stone walls and oak scrub, and are free to visit at any time. Few visitors come here compared with Radimlja, so it is a quiet place to see the carvings up close.
