Radimlja is the best known of Bosnia's medieval graveyards of stećci, large carved stone tombstones found across the western Balkans. It holds more than 130 of them, most dating from the fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries, and since 2016 it has been part of a UNESCO World Heritage listing. The stones are shaped like chests and gabled houses, and many are decorated with reliefs of knights, hunters, horses, spirals and figures with one hand raised. The site lies beside the main road from Stolac to Čapljina, has a small entry fee, and can be seen in under an hour.
