Handhal Mosque is a historic mosque in the al-Buniyya area of Bir al-Azab, the garden quarter west of the Old City of Sana'a, and is recorded separately from the mosques of the walled city. Its brick minaret, decorated with patterns in raised brickwork, rises above the old walls and gardens of the quarter, and the prayer hall has a flat roof on columns in the traditional Sana'a style.
