Al-Balqa Mosque in Sana'a is also known as al-Kabbani Mosque, after the man who built a grave beside it and added its minaret. An inscription on the western facade of the prayer hall gives the date 1014 AH. It is a small mosque with a prayer hall roofed in timber on stone columns, a minaret, southern and western courtyards, a domed grave, a covered porch and traditional baths.
