About Grave of Amr ibn Abasa

Amr ibn Abasa al-Sulami was among the very first people to accept Islam in Makkah and is said to have been the fourth Muslim. He returned to his tribe, later joined Nabi Muhammad ﷺ in Madinah, and after the conquest of Syria he settled in Hims, where he passed away. His grave lies in a small mosque bearing his name in the Souq al-Hisbah area near the Great Nuri Mosque, beneath the building of the religious endowments office. The mosque has recently been restored.
