This grave in Damascus contains members of the Abidin family: Muhammad Abu al-Yusr Abidin ibn Abi al-Khayr, Mufti of Syria; Muhammad Abu al-Khayr Abidin ibn Ahmad, also Mufti of Syria; Ahmad ibn Abd al-Ghani; and Abd al-Ghani ibn Umar, a cousin of the Hanafi jurist Imam Muhammad Amin Ibn Abidin. It serves as the grave for these scholars from a family closely associated with Islamic legal heritage.
