The ancient well of al-Sa'idani at al-Bad' is widely believed to be the well of Madyan where Nabi Musa, having fled from Egypt, helped two women water their flocks, an act of kindness that led to his marriage and his years of shelter in Madyan. The well is a deep stone-lined shaft on a raised mound with steps built around it, and it is now a protected archaeological site with information boards. It lies a short drive from the Caves of Nabi Shu'ayb, and the two are usually visited together.
