Sayyidah Fatimah bint al-Husayn was the daughter of Sayyiduna Husayn ibn Ali and a great-granddaughter of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ. She lived in Madinah after the tragedy of Karbala and was known for her piety and learning, and she narrated reports from her family. Her home, with a well beside it, stood outside the old city on the edge of Wadi al-Aqiq in what is now the al-Usayfirin area, and the well is said to have given water to travellers. The site has been preserved and is a popular stop for visitors to the historic places of Madinah.
