Al-Muhassab, also called al-Abtah, is the broad valley floor between Makkah and Mina. On his Farewell Hajj, after the days of Mina, Nabi Muhammad ﷺ stopped here, prayed and rested for part of the night before going to the Ka'bah for the farewell tawaf, and many of the early Muslims followed his example of stopping here. The valley is now built over as the district of al-Mu'abadah, on the road between Masjid al-Haram and Mina. Masjid al-Ijabah stands in the same district.
