Masjid al-Jinn stands on the road between Masjid al-Haram and Jannat al-Mu'alla. It marks the place where, according to the reports, a group of jinn came to Nabi Muhammad ﷺ in Makkah, listened to him reciting the Qur'an, believed and pledged their allegiance to him. It is also known as Masjid al-Haras. The mosque has been rebuilt several times and today is a modest building that is easy to reach on foot from the Haram, about a kilometre to the north. It reminds visitors that the message of Islam was sent to the jinn as well as to humankind.
