The zawiya and sabil of Sultan Faraj ibn Barquq were built in 1408, through his steward Jamal al-Din Yusuf. The building once jutted into the street, and in 1923 it was taken down and rebuilt a few metres back with its original stones. Its walls keep much of their marble facing, the ceiling is painted and gilded, and the sabil has a carved stalactite ceiling. It stands facing Bab Zuwayla at the start of the Tentmakers' Market.
