The mosque of Sidi Ali Tamraz is one of the old neighbourhood mosques of the al-Mazar quarter of Bahari. The saint it is named after is buried inside, where his tomb lies under a green cover. It stands on Atiya Abu Na'im Street, a short walk from Midan al-Masajid, and its stone facade, crenellated parapet and small minaret are typical of the older mosques of this part of the city.
