Maglić is the highest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina, its Bosnian summit reaching 2,386 metres on the border with Montenegro, inside Sutjeska National Park. The usual route starts at Prijevor and takes about two to three hours to the summit, crossing alpine meadows full of flowers in summer, with steep sections near the top. On the Montenegrin side lies the heart-shaped Trnovačko Lake. The climb is for experienced, well-equipped walkers in good weather.
