Jasum was the well of the Companion Abu al-Haytham Malik ibn al-Tayyihan, one of the Ansar who pledged at al-Aqabah. Nabi Muhammad ﷺ, with Abu Bakr and Umar, came to his garden one day when they were hungry, and Abu al-Haytham welcomed them with fresh water from this well and dates from his palms. The site lies in north-west Madinah and is marked on a specialist map of the city's historic wells.
