Masjid al-Madhun is a small historic mosque at the foot of Jabal al-Madhun in al-Mathnah, on the Wadi Wajj road outside the old walls of Taif. It is also called Masjid al-Qantarah after the stone water bridge in front of it, under which the floods of Wadi Wajj once passed, and some visitors know it as Masjid Ali. The mosque is built of stone, wood and red brick, with a raised mihrab, a central pillar and a cylindrical tiered minaret on its western side, and a room on a platform in its courtyard was once used for teaching Qur'an. It stands opposite the garden where Addas offered grapes to Nabi Muhammad ﷺ, close to Masjid Addas and Masjid al-Ku'.
