Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra, the daughter of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ, lived here with Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abi Talib, and their children Sayyiduna al-Hasan and Sayyiduna al-Husayn grew up in this house. It adjoined the room of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ on its northern side, and he often visited it. The site of the house lies within Masjid al-Nabawi, inside the enclosure behind the Sacred Chamber, where the mihrab known as the Mihrab of Fatimah is found.
