Sayyida Maymunah bint al-Harith, Mother of the Believers, married Nabi Muhammad ﷺ at Sarif near Makkah in 7 AH, during the Umrah of the following year, and was the last woman he married. She was the aunt of Abdullah ibn Abbas and Khalid ibn al-Walid, and she passed away at Sarif, where she is buried. Her room was one of the chambers built for the wives of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ beside his mosque in Madinah. These rooms were brought into the mosque in the expansion of 88 AH, and the site now lies within Masjid al-Nabawi.
