About Holy Qur'an Museum (Hira)

The Holy Qur'an Museum is part of the Hira Cultural District beside Jabal al-Nur, where the revelation of the Qur'an began. It displays rare manuscripts and early copies of the Qur'an, along with exhibits on how the Qur'an was written down, gathered, copied and preserved over the centuries. Visitors can see examples of different scripts, historic copies of the Qur'an from across the Muslim world and displays on the art of calligraphy and illumination. It is usually visited together with the Revelation Exhibition in the same district.
