About Qu'aiti Palace (Mukalla Museum)

The Qu'aiti Palace was built in 1925 by Sultan Ghalib ibn Awad al-Qu'aiti at the entrance to Mukalla, the capital of the Qu'aiti sultanate on the Hadramawt coast. It now houses the Mukalla Museum. The white palace stands on the waterfront, and its rooms display the sultan's throne and furnishings with objects from the history and heritage of Hadramawt, from seafaring and caravans to traditional dress.
