About Wadi Daw'an

Wadi Daw'an is a deep valley in Hadramawt famous for its honey from the sidr tree and for its villages of mud-brick tower houses, built on the slopes and on rocky outcrops above the palm groves. The valley is one of the most beautiful in Yemen, and the town of al-Mashhad with the grave of Sayyid Ali ibn Hasan al-Attas lies at its northern end.
