The Garden of the Poets is a public garden in the east of the old city, laid out along the inner side of the Almoravid wall at the Ronda del Marrubial. The city council built it on the site of an old orchard of the Trinitarian order, and it opened on 18 December 1992. The municipal architect Juan Serrano Muñoz designed it to join a traditional garden with a modern park, with water as its main feature, running beside the old wall. The Marrubial wall stands alongside it.
