Jubayr ibn Mut'im was a nobleman of Quraysh and one of the leading experts of his time in Arab genealogy. His father, Mut'im ibn Adi, gave protection to Nabi Muhammad ﷺ when he returned from Ta'if, and Jubayr accepted Islam around the time of the Conquest of Makkah. He passed away in Madinah around 59 AH. This shrine at al-Sanamayn in the Hawran is attributed to him by local tradition and is visited by the people of the area.
