Masjid al-Khidr is one of the oldest mosques of Historic Jeddah, on al-Dhahab Street at the entrance of Souq al-Nada. Accounts trace it back more than seven hundred years, and it is said to be named after a man of the area who built it. It was restored in the second phase of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques, and it holds about 355 worshippers. It is a short walk from Masjid al-Hanafi and Nasseef House.
